Directions:

Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area expands N from just N of Snoqualmie Pass on N side of Hwy 90 to Hwy 2 at Scenic. This immense backcountry area in the Central Cascades of Washington holds old and potential rock climbs in its reaches. Look to the following peaks for climbing sojourns: Three Queens, Chimney Rock, and Lemah Peaks, Mt. Daniel, Cathedral Rock, Garfield Mountain, and Mt. Index.

From scrambling to sheer rock walls, like the 2200' E Face of Mt. Index, Alpine Lakes Wilderness offers a panoply of climbing discoveries in a vast collection of alpine peaks. Expect varied rock conditions...loose, vegetated.
